Welcome one and all, my name is Tara and I am the heart and soul of Dictionart Creations.

Becoming a mum to two wonderful boys has shaped so much of who I am and the life I’ve built. Motherhood brought joy, chaos, and a whole new sense of purpose, but it also reminded me how important it is to hold onto the parts of myself that make me feel creative and fulfilled. My handmade cards and gifts business grew from that realisation. I wanted something that was mine—something that allowed me to express my love for crafting, design, and meaningful, personal touches.

I’ve always believed that the most special gifts are the ones made with care, intention, and heart. Creating handmade pieces gives me the chance to share that feeling with others. Every card, decoration, or gift I make is designed to bring a little joy into someone’s day, whether it’s for a birthday, a celebration, or simply a moment worth remembering.

As a mum, flexibility is essential. Traditional working hours didn’t fit easily around school runs, family routines, and the unpredictable rhythm of life with children. Starting my own business allows me to work in a way that supports my family rather than compete with it. I can create during quiet evenings, school and college times, or those rare peaceful moments, while still being fully present for my boys.

More than anything, I want my children to see what it looks like to follow a passion and build something from the ground up. I hope they grow up knowing that creativity matters, that hard work can be joyful, and that it’s possible to chase your dreams while caring for the people you love.

This little business is my creative escape, my passion project, and a reminder that beautiful things can grow from the everyday moments of family life.
